When to Trek the Annapurna Circuit: A Season-by-Season Guide
February 18, 2026

Autumn (late September through November) is the classic window — stable weather, the clearest mountain views of the year, and Thorong La at its most predictable. It's also the busiest season on the circuit.
Spring (March to May) trades a little visibility for rhododendron forests in full bloom through the lower valleys, plus noticeably quieter teahouses on the upper sections of the route.
Winter is possible but Thorong La (5,416m) can close after heavy snow, and some teahouses above Manang shut for the season. If you're set on a winter date, we build in extra contingency days and check pass conditions daily in the lead-up.
Whatever season you pick, the itinerary itself doesn't change much — the acclimatization days before the pass matter more than the calendar.
